'What do I want? What positive impact do I want to create?' That’s what our founder asked herself about a decade ago when she quit working in the corporate world. According to a 2024 research, 46.6% of the global workforce are already self-employed. The figure is expected to only increase as businesses are proven to be hiring more freelancers than ever. Imagine a world of people exercising their innovation and creating value for each other. The future of work is about finding your purpose in the AI world and having the freedom to switch paths in evolving landscapes. The shift toward entrepreneurship is unstoppable.
Many skills used to successfully launch a startup are the same as those learnt in STEM field: thrivingness in uncertainty, willingness to experiment, and creative problem-solving. The curriculum leads you through the entire process of creating a start-up from an idea, which spans across multiple sub-disciplines of business and management. You will learn how to nurture and refine your entrepreneurial mindset, how to develop an idea and be offered with activities that allow you to think and approach challenges with a fresh perspective, even with limited resources! This program fuels your curiosity and expands your horizons in entrepreneurship and financial literacy in an enjoyable, interactive and engaging manner.
You'll learn:
- Entrepreneurship mindset
- Business skills (phone call, meeting/presentation, negotiation, team-building) and plannings
- Market viability, cost planning, pricing
- Legal considerations
- Fundamental coding concepts
- UX & UI, website building (given all students can bring their own laptop and mouse)
- Public relations (PR), marketing strategy, search engine optimization (SEO)
- Raising capital and ensuring success
- Importance of data

This is a regular after-school program (i.e. Extra-Curricular Activities, ECA) that runs during term 3 (2024 April to June). Every Tuesday at 3:10-5:10pm from April 9 - June 25, 2024 (12 days, 24 hours in total):
