Jumbo puzzles are a great introduction to jigsaws: They have proportionately larger pieces and make a big impact, so they can serve as an encouraging introduction to puzzles. They’re great for teamwork, too — ideal for social preschoolers!
Your child may put more puzzle pieces in his mouth than in their designated spots at first, but a little practice goes a long way. Hold back and resist your urge to assist too much. Part of the Montessori fun is letting kids figure out things for themselves. In the toddler years, it’s all about tactile and sensory experiences, and understanding object recognition and size differentiation.
Each set of puzzle has six pieces of jigsaw and a final picture.
